William brings more than 23 years of experience in tax and accounting, working extensively with businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates.

He began his career in public accounting in 2002 after earning his MBA and spent more than a decade with a small CPA firm before launching his own successful tax practice in 2013. Over the next 12 years, he built a reputation for thoughtful guidance, technical expertise, and a client-focused approach before joining Schmitz, Rini & Davis in December 2025.

William earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Carroll College in Helena, Montana in 2000 and his MBA from the University of Portland in 2002. He obtained his CPA license in 2007 and is a member of both the Oregon Society of CPAs and the Virginia Society of CPAs, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
